HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Dear Friends,

“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”

This month our young people were given the opportunity to express their gratitude for The Simple Room by  completing  the statement   “I am thankful for The Simple Room because..."

It is rewarding, encouraging,  and  revealing  to read some of the unedited comments of appreciation expressed by the students, staff, and college volunteers.

I am thankful for The Simple Room because…

“They help us learn and have so many things for kids to do.”

“We went on a hole bunch of field trips.  Here they are. Pottery Hollow, Ecrrts Apple and Pumkin Farm, Six flags, and City Museum.  Thank you Lee, Yevora, Kaity, Robert, and all of the Simple Room!”

“I have somewhere to hang out and have fun here.”

“I  get to meet a bunch of wonderful kids and share the love of Christ with them.  I get the opportunity to reach out and use my strengths for good and help them learn new dances.”

“Usually I have to do homework and then I just sit and do nothing at home.  But at The Simple Room I have lots of stuff to do.”

“It is a place to recognize your problems and subjects you struggle in so you can get help to better yourself.”

“it help’s in every hard challenges I fase.”

“It’s a good place to get help on my homework and they make me feel I can do better!”

“It has been a place to go since I was nine and because of Lee.”

“It’s a place to get away from home and have a great time with your friends.”

“It provides a place for kids to come and feel accepted.  The Simple Room really is a family.  It truly is a blessing to all those involved and God’s love really is evident here.”

As you read the comments  of appreciation from the young people, it is obvious The Simple Room is making a positive  impact in our community.  We thank God for His blessing on this ministry, and  we  thank  you for your continuing financial and prayer support.
With expressed gratitude,

Cynthia Wiegand
